Healthcare Lender Analytics was created with that uniqueness as its primary focus. HLA is not a typical due diligence firm. It is solely focused on the healthcare industry and the needs and concerns of lenders and investors serving and investing in the industry.
The HLA team is very experienced in many segments of the industry and has extensive knowledge of the forces in which they operate. HLA keeps informed of changes that occur and provides that value to its clients.
At HLA, there is a deep understanding of the nature of healthcare businesses and how they function. It is this understanding that makes HLA ideally suited to assist lenders and investors in providing insights needed to support and serve these companies.
Leadership
Brad Velie, the founder of HLA, is a seasoned financial due diligence professional in multiple segments of the healthcare industry. He has spent over twenty-five years in financial and operational due diligence in healthcare. This includes asset based, real estate, and cash flow lending. For investors, he has performed quality of earnings (QOE) reviews for private equity and institutional sponsors.
Prior to his due diligence career, he was a senior financial executive, including CFO, in multiple public and private healthcare companies. He was the founding CFO of several PE sponsored startup companies. He has designed and implemented all financial and administrative systems and processes in the creation of companies, and is experienced in financial and regulatory reporting. He has negotiated and closed debt offerings and is experienced in M&A. He started his career in public accounting.
He received a BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University and an MBA (summa cum laude) from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
